How to permanently remove uninstall software from computer?
Here are some step to remove uninstalled software performance permanently.
Step 1. Go to control panel to uninstall a program
I. Click on the windows button from your keyboard and search for control panel option.
I. Click on control panel. Navigate to programs.
II. Click on programs and features.
III. Search for software you want to uninstall.
IV. Click on uninstall. Wait for the uninstallation process to finish.
Step 2. Check the program files and appdata folders
I. Click on the windows button from your keyboard and search for %programfiles%
II. Click on the enter the program files folder will open.
III. See if there are any folders there that have the name of the uninstalled software. Delete such folders.
IV. Insert %appdata% into search then click on enter. You will be taken to the appdata folder and repeat the step iii from the list.
Step 3. Windows registry
I. Click on the windows button from your keyboard and search for “regedit.exe” (without quotes) now click on enter. You will be remote to registry editor.
II. Locate the following keys:
Ø HKEY_CURRENT_USER
· Software (See if there are any folders there that have the name of the uninstalled software) then Right click on the targeted folder then click on delete.
Ø HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
· Software (See if there are any folders there that have the name of the uninstalled software) then Right click on the targeted folder then click on delete.
Ø HKEY_USER
· Software (See if there are any folders there that have the name of the uninstalled software) then Right click on the targeted folder then click on delete.
Step 4. Remove the temporary files
- I. Open the Run by pressing the windows key +R
- II. Type ‘%temp%’ (no quotes) click on enter. Entry the folder.
- III. Then type ‘temp’(no quotes) click on enter. Empty this folder as well.
Up to this, there will be no deleted software left in your system.
